Yes, it is moving way too slowly. I had been hoping very much that we would be in our new home by the end of this month. It doesn’t seem likely at all, nor does being done by the middle of October. (Heavy sigh).
At least it is moving along. I mentioned in the last post that our walls were painted. Here is finally some pictures where the color can be seen. This first is the ceiling and far wall of the dining room area of the great room. That little hanging portion and far wall is light blue and the ceiling is white. Obvious, yes?
In addition, we have had doors and trim delivered. The doors are all stacked neatly against the walls ready to be hung. The trim is in a big heap on the floor. Again you can see the blue walls in comparison to the doors and trim.
Sadly, we still have to have a dehumidifier running constantly. It has been raining a great deal still. We still have some water on the floor in the basement. The sump pump is working well so the rain water is no longer backing up into the basement, but we still have left over water from the last week or so. On the bright side, it no longer smells musty.
