On Friday, September 22, we closed on our new property. Right now we have 16 acres of cornfield, but the corn does not belong to us. We have decided on a concrete dome home. We are actively working with the two contracting companies that will be building our home. One company is local to the area and will be doing the general contracting work, excavation, and finishing of the interior. The other company is from Missouri and will only be pouring the shells of our home. We have also been working on a preliminary home design with both companies. We are definitely looking forward to getting this moving along now!
